Following the demise of the Rusty Dusty Bros in early 1978, JOE CANNON & ROGER ILOTT started working on new material.

They recorded demos for a possible single at Trafalgar Studios, Annandale, between April-June 1978.

With a focus on Joe’s original songs, auditions for a drummer and bass player were held, and Restless was formed in August, 1978.The band’s first gig was a Free Concert to Save the ABC at the Regent Theatre, Sydney, on November 23, 1978.
Restless then recorded demos at the newly-built Rhinoceros Studios, 26 Kent Street, Sydney, and played a series of gigs at Sydney Cove Tavern.

Sadly, the band folded on March 22, 1979.

Mastering note:
Hold On was recorded at Trafalgar Studios on 16 track analogue tape,
The remaining Trafalgar tracks were recorded on 8 track analogue tape.
The Rhinoceros sessions were recorded on 4 track analogue tape, and the Curlewis Street demos on cassette tape.
The only available sources for this compilation were cassette mixes.
